The laptop has become an integral part of our lives, and more people appreciate the compactness and autonomy. Niche maximum compact notebooks was somewhat successfully completed by netbooks. Partly because Intel atom is nice and economical processor, but is far from the performance of any laptop with a Pentium M processor – this is seen by many of our previous tests. Pentium M (Centrino) laptop, although the ratio unbeatable performance / economy remains in the past of computer technology. Market demand high performance, compact, economical and most autonomous laptops. Such laptops are positioned in the image class and are significantly more expensive than models with normal size and standard processors. The most prominent representatives of this class of mini-expensive laptops are Sony VAIO TZ, Toshiba Portege R500, Lenovo Thinkpad X300. These are powerful laptops with ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) Dual Core processors, weighing about 1kg., 12-inch matrix exclusive design. In this review we chose to test mini-laptops with more modest prices, but the uncompromising quality of DELL and HP Compaq. These are representatives of business-class manufacturer of both large and not image laptops, as mentioned above extremely expensive mini-laptops. Quality of workmanship and reliability in operation between image maker and expensive business model is a high class of comparable level, the difference is mainly in design. (more…)
