Again, the fight is between high-end machines, mobile graphics platform against the tabletop. On one side is the powerful desktop DELL Precision 670 with two separate processors XEON HT to incredible 3.40GHz. The second major contender is a graphical mobile station HP Compaq nw9440 with real dual-core Intel Core2Duo T7600 of 2.16HGz with 4MV cache. The battle is between the two professional video card machines – Precision 670 is presented with a Quadro FX3400, Quadro FX1500 video card is a HP Compaq nw9440.
To review more interest, including three in the test laptop, including two graphic stations (HP Compaq nw8440, HP Compaq nw8000) and a business laptop with a graphics card other than chip-set (HP Compaq nc6230).

HP e among the leading notebook manufacturers, including consumer and Pavilion series, which is top of the huge 20-inch “Dragon” (review, which is below), and among graphic nw – series (Workstation) (made an overview of nw8000 and incredible nw8240). HP Tablet produces and amazing and it laptops with AFFS matrix (modification of AFFS). In this article, however we will look nc – series (business class of HP). A distinctive feature of this series is simple, very elegant design, imposed after the 2003-2004-years. This design is noticeable effort to maintain and even surpass the “benchmark” IBM ThinkPad T-series. Much like a thin profile, joystick, together with responsive touch-pad metallic upper lid, durable magnesium chassis, passive (in new models and active system) to protect the hard disk. Laptops from this series highlight the work and engineering focus, through the existence of a serial (COM) port. Many fans and satisfied fans of the ThinkPad, which decided to use the model as the HP Compaq nc6220 shared her satisfaction from working with HP. Starting today reviews the chronological order of the models. HP Compaq nc6110 – one of the first representatives of this business series. I will not describe the design of the laptop, as is typical for the whole series, but I will mention again that it is very elegant, made tight, no slack. Touchpad is very sensitive, responsive joystick is almost like a Tecra and Thinkpad. The keyboard is comfortable, although I personally liked more my Thinkpad. (more…)

As for phones and laptops when the buyer faces a serious choice between reliable business machine or image technique with lots of extras and excellent design. In this overview of image quality is selected beautiful machine DELL XPS M1330 with an aluminum coating, a separate video card with HDMI, a powerful processor. Business laptop is HP Compaq nc6910p atypical for such a laptop, a separate video card Radeon X2300. First impressions: – Both in size and laptop are quite similar, but the burden of solid chassis MAGNESIUM nc6910p HP machine makes a sound; – XPS M1330 initially seems infinitely more beautiful, unlike some trivial design HP Compaq, unchanged from 2004 onwards (HP Compaq nc6120/6220/6230/6125); – Keyboards and touch-dip of the two laptops are similar, with average quality (comparable to the excellent ThinkPad keyboards and Tecra). HP Compaq joystick is a little dry, but quite responsive. DELL XPS joystick when absent; – XPS M1330 has quite “glezotii” – remote-controlled camera, HDMI. HP Compaq as a serious corporate workstation, understandably there are no such “civilian” extras available only fingerprint scanner and reader for multiple memory cards; – HP Compaq nc6910p is dull display, while XPS M1330 has a glossy display with LED illumination. Picture of the XPS is more juicy, but continuous work is izmaryat more eyes (glare visual serizno loaded, even without being aware). In nc6910 picture is weaker, but significantly more comfortable for long work. See the photo of her clearly visible glare screen DELL XPS M1330: (more…)

The laptop has become an integral part of our lives, and more people appreciate the compactness and autonomy. Niche maximum compact notebooks was somewhat successfully completed by netbooks. Partly because Intel atom is nice and economical processor, but is far from the performance of any laptop with a Pentium M processor – this is seen by many of our previous tests. Pentium M (Centrino) laptop, although the ratio unbeatable performance / economy remains in the past of computer technology. Market demand high performance, compact, economical and most autonomous laptops. Such laptops are positioned in the image class and are significantly more expensive than models with normal size and standard processors. The most prominent representatives of this class of mini-expensive laptops are Sony VAIO TZ, Toshiba Portege R500, Lenovo Thinkpad X300. These are powerful laptops with ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) Dual Core processors, weighing about 1kg., 12-inch matrix exclusive design. In this review we chose to test mini-laptops with more modest prices, but the uncompromising quality of DELL and HP Compaq. These are representatives of business-class manufacturer of both large and not image laptops, as mentioned above extremely expensive mini-laptops. Quality of workmanship and reliability in operation between image maker and expensive business model is a high class of comparable level, the difference is mainly in design. (more…)
